Just how hidden are Invisible hearing aids?
Invisible hearing aids are the two smallest custom sizes: CIC, which sits completely in the canal, and IIC, which sits deeper still. Both are built from an impression of your ear canal, and both come out with a small pull cord rather than by grabbing the device.
At conversational distance an IIC is genuinely hard to spot, and a CIC shows only as a small face if someone looks directly into your ear. For many buyers that is the whole point.
What you trade is capacity. There is no room for a large battery, so these are mostly disposable battery devices, and phone streaming is limited compared with the larger styles. A very deep fitting also needs an ear canal that suits it, which your audiologist checks before anything is ordered. They suit mild to moderately severe hearing loss.
