If you’ve ever walked into a hearing aid centre and heard something like:
“Ma'am, this is a ₹1,20,000 hearing aid… it will give you the BEST clarity of sound!”
— you’re not alone.
Most people feel that hearing aids are expensive, and many assume that a higher price automatically means better sound quality. On the other side, because Amazon sells devices for ₹2,000–₹3,000, some believe the entire industry is a gimmick.
Both extremes are misleading.
The result?
- Many people pay more than they need to
- Others choose a cheaper model that doesn’t match their lifestyle
- And many get random models pitched without any scientific reasoning
This blog (Part 3 of our SMART series) finally brings clarity. You’ll learn how to choose the right Signia hearing aid, based on:
- Your hearing loss
- Your lifestyle needs
- Your budget
Without confusion! Without sales pressure!!

How to Decide What YOU Should Buy
Use these three filters:
1. Which device type suits your hearing loss?
Is it the CIC or RIC or BTE
2. Which features match your routine?
Listening Environments - Meetings? Classroom Settings? Outdoor work? Restaurants? Travelling? Family gatherings? etc..
3. What is your actual budget?
- Start with Essential
- Upgrade to Good-to-Buy if your lifestyle needs it
- Choose Premium only if clarity in difficult situations is a priority
Before You Buy:
A hearing aid’s value is not in its MRP. It depends on:
- A reliable hearing test
- Accurate programming
- Real-world trial
- The audiologist’s experience
- Aftercare for 3–4 years
